The Apple Pro Mouse was introduced at Macworld New York in July 2000, replacing the infamous “hockey puck mouse” that had been around since 1998. It was the first Apple mouse to feature optical tracking instead of a roller ball, and also has a dial on the bottom to adjust the click tension strength.
