Packaging
Display
The left door on the rear is where the ADB cable from the base of the ‘desktop’ stand plugs in. It is detachable because the stand, while removable, has a built-in ADB hub.
Apple points out in the user’s guide that the ‘desktop’ stand has these rubber pads on either side. These help prevent the keyboard from sliding off when stored vertically here, freeing up desk space.
The cable splits into DC power, VGA, and ADB, which is necessary to power the ADB hub in the display (which the Desktop Stand plugs into for its ADB hub).
All buttoned up!
The right door on the rear contains several ports: audio in, audio out, S-video in, and composite video in.
The display with its Portrait Stand in place. Apple suggests that this can be used for when users want the display to be more “portable”, such as when carrying it around to give presentations.
Accessory Kit
User’s manual, cable & screen info, warranty info, software CD, power cable, power brick, Apple stickers, and the swappable ‘portrait’ stand.
Everything fits neatly into the Accessory Kit box, which sits vertically on top of the styrofoam in the main box.
