Condition & Notes

This unit is in mint condition, and is complete with all the original packaging, keyboard, mouse, power cable, modem cable, software CDs, documentation, and Apple Pro Speakers.

It was purchased from the original owner, who used it in the home until around 2011. The original ship date listed on the box is 02/23/2004.

I opened/disassembled it when I acquired it to apply new thermal paste and thoroughly clean the dusty interior.

It is in fully working order and is currently running Mac OS X 10.4.11.

Model Identifier

The 20” iMac G4 is quite rare as it was only on sale for about eight months, and also quite desirable as it is the largest model of iMac G4 ever made.

 Packaging

The iMac and Pro Speakers are cradled in the lower part of the carton with several custom styrofoam pieces.

This styrofoam ‘frame’ is used to support the display during shipping, since it is so massive and heavy.

Apple even included some step-by-step instructions detailing how to remove the iMac from the box, since it is a bit tricky.

The piece slips around the bezel of the display assembly behind the outer acrylic rim.

iMac

The iMac up and running. The 20” display really is enormous; it is quite noticeably larger (and heavier) than the 15” and 17” models. It looks gorgeous!

 Accessories

Keyboard, mouse, power cable, modem cable, software CDs, and documentation.

All the documentation and CDs spread out: User’s Guide, OS X Panther guide, software coupons, software license agreement, warranty, registration, and AppleCare info, Apple stickers, Software Install & Restore discs 1 and 2, and World Book CD.

The Apple Pro Speakers (with white surrounds) were bundled with higher-end iMac G4 models like this one.
